• The BLADE BLASTER is set to become a true benchmark for fishing shallow water, weed beds, and heavily vegetated areas. This bladed jig was developed through close cooperation between ILLEX Pro Staff angler Marc Ptacovsky and product manager Thomas Vogels. Marc’s objective was clear: to merge two proven lure concepts into one highly efficient and versatile bait.The foundation of the lure is based on the well-known JUNGLE BLASTER Swim Jig, appreciated for its ability to slide smoothly over obstacles and penetrate dense vegetation with ease. This proven shape is combined with a custom-designed metal blade, engineered by ILLEX to emit strong visual and vibrational signals. As soon as the lure hits the water, the bulky silicone skirt comes alive, producing an aggressive and highly attractive swimming action even during a simple steady retrieve.Depending on fishing conditions, the BLADE BLASTER can be fitted with a soft plastic trailer to increase profile and movement. Options include a pin-tail such as the MAGIC SWING TAIL 4 or 5, a shad-style trailer like the MAGIC SLIM SHAD 4 or 5, or a craw-style bait such as the CHUNK CRAW.Naturally, the BLADE BLASTER is completely lead-free. Primarily designed for targeting pike, it is equally effective when fishing for other predator species including perch, black bass, zander, and catfish.
