This bladed jig was developed through close cooperation between ILLEX Pro Staff angler Marc Ptacovsky and product manager Thomas Vogels, with a clear objective: combining two proven lure concepts into one highly effective design.At its core, it retains the distinctive head shape of the JUNGLE BLASTER Swim Jig, renowned for its ability to glide smoothly over obstacles and penetrate dense vegetation with ease. This profile is paired with a custom-designed metal blade that emits strong visual and vibrational signals, while the full silicone skirt delivers an intense, lively swimming action—even during a simple, steady retrieve from the moment the lure hits the water.Depending on fishing conditions, the BLADE BLASTER can be fitted with a soft plastic trailer to increase bulk and appeal. Ideal options include a pin-tail such as the MAGIC SWING TAIL 4 or 5, a shad-style bait like the MAGIC SLIM SHAD 4 or 5, or a crawfish imitation such as the CHUNK CRAW.Naturally, the BLADE BLASTER is completely lead-free. While it has been primarily designed for targeted pike fishing, it is equally effective for other predator species including perch, black bass, zander and catfish.
