JRC Product Ltd. was established in 1992 in Hatfield Peverel, Essex, earning a reputation for practical and reliable bedchairs. Initially, the company was managed by co-founder Jeff Powell, who developed the iconic Cocoon bedchair, followed by the lightweight and low-profile Stealth bedchair.

The success of these innovative products led to further expansion. In the early 2000s, renowned products like the STI Brolly, Terry Hearn Cocoon Bedchair, Quad, and Skyliner rods were launched, solidifying the brand’s presence in the fishing industry.

In 2007, JRC was acquired by Shakespeare/K2 and relocated to Redditch, Worcestershire, becoming part of the portfolio of brands owned by Pure Fishing Inc.

Today, JRC is headquartered in Alnwick, Northumberland, and continues to stay true to its roots by designing intelligent, high-performance products that outshine the competition.
