      • SHIMANO Technium Mono is a low stretch sinking nylon line that offers an excellent combination of strength and high abrasion resistance. An advanced three-layer construction reduces linear stretch while maintaining suppleness and improved presentation. If you're a serious carp angler or coarse fisherman, you likely already know that the Technium mono lines have a fantastic reputation and have been one of the leading high-tech lines for several years. With its reduced stretch and high strength-to-diameter ratio, Technium is the perfect compromise between braided line and 'normal' monofilament lines. Technium Tribal offers excellent casting properties, and for carp anglers who use light bobbins or fish with slack lines, the sensitivity – combined with the sinking properties – is a significant advantage, as well as the reduced stretch that provides benefits over non-stretch braided lines. The hyper-resistant core in the center consists of three layers, granting the Technium mono half the stretch of a standard mono line. This significantly enhances bite detection when feeder fishing or carp fishing, while retaining enough stretch to confidently play the fish. The second layer of construction gives the line its supple qualities. This increases casting performance and contributes to Technium's excellent knot strength. The final outer layer not only protects the line against UV light but also ensures a silky smooth surface that reduces friction during casting and increases abrasion resistance.
