• The Chod Rig is an extremely effective setup for fishing over a weedy or debris-covered bottom, ensuring that your hookbait is always presented in a way that allows the carp to pick it up easily. It is also an excellent option when casting towards showing fish, without causing excessive disturbance while searching for a clean spot on the lakebed. Tying this rig yourself can be quite fiddly, but with this ready-made version you save yourself the hassle and get a rig that most anglers would struggle to tie better themselves. The components and knots used are exactly the same as those preferred by Danny Fairbrass, featuring our Mouth Trap hooklink material and Choddy hooks. Two versions are available: Long and Short, depending on the type of presentation you want to achieve, with the Short version often preferred for a naked chod setup. Each Chod Rig is finished with a Ring Swivel, allowing you to attach it directly to your main line or leader. They are available with or without barbs, in sizes 4, 6, 8 and 10, and in 15lb, 20lb and 25lb Mouth Trap (depending on hook size). Each pack contains three Chod Rigs.
