The idea behind Leech began many years ago on a fly fishing trip to Bosnia, where the seasoned anglers of Leech wore their first production eyewear. The crystal-clear waters of the Balkans make fish shy, and to fish efficiently and eliminate surface glare, great polarized sunglasses are an absolute necessity. After dinner at the fishing camp, they met fellow fly fishermen, and while looking out over the river, it became clear that the performance of sunglasses often varies. Some simply couldn’t spot half the fish in the pool. This was nothing new to them, having tried most brands, but for their new friends, this was an eye-opening experience. Sunglasses were passed around the group, and soon everyone agreed the pool was indeed full of fish.
This experience marked the beginning of Leech’s development as a company and the journey toward designing and producing a wider range of models for a larger audience.
Since their launch in 2012, Leech has experienced a fantastic journey, and today they’ve improved anglers' vision in over 15 countries across 3 continents.
