The whole rod is lighter in weight and now the black EVA handle part is covered with shrink tube. That gives it an extra smooth feel, makes it non-slip and easy to clean. This Close Combat is ideal for vertical jigging from out of a boat or even belly boat: super sensitive, perfectly balanced and a joy to look at.
